Thursday morning CBMK rider Jon Cos jumped on a flight down to Huntington Beach California to see if he could get himself into the Damn Am and Coastal Carnage contests happening at the US National surf contest. Jon was on the waiting list and instead of waiting in Canada he spent 5 hours on a plane early in the morning just in time to make it to practice and see if he can get off the waiting list and into the contest. Lucky for Jon his skills and good attitude can pull some weight, not to mention knowing the right people.
Jon made it into the contest and showed the world why he deserves to be there, placing fourth in qualifying and making it into the finals. There were some heavy hitters in the contest and the finals are sure to be wild. Make sure you watch them live right here!
